Michael Murphy stars in "Life with Boys" on Nickelodeon as Sam Foster. The role marks his series regular television debut.
Canadian child actor Michael Murphy played Kurt Von Trapp in the Toronto production of "The Sound of Music" produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Murphy has also appeared in episodes of SOAPnet's "Being Erica" and the Canadian series "What's Up Warthogs!" and "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?"
He plays the flute and violin and is trained in Ballet. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, water skiing, swimming, riding horseback, ice skating and snow skiing.
